Description

READ OF PARAPOS is a simple play about three brothers who inherit a bakery, and their efforts at running it successfully. Beyond the surface, the play uses the bakery motif to understand the Nigerian/African situation and the hope of economic and political growth. The play traces the history of the Nigerian economy from colonial era through the civil war and other stages, and ends in the future with the haunting conclusion that true independence is impossible without indigenous technological advancement.
