Description

When Charles, Ebo, a youth corper posted to a rural secondary school in Ilepuju exploited the naivety of one of his students to defile the unsuspecting beautiful and brilliant student, little did he reckon with the cruel tricks of fate. The seed he planted in the pristinely innocent school girl later germinated into a sacred fruit through which the secret of his sordid past was unveiled in a strange twist of fate. the setting presents a broad spectrum of locale, ranging from the familiar scenes and distinguishing features of traditional lives in Ilupeju to vibrant cosmopolitan life in Lekos and Yibadan and the highly sophisticated life in the United Republic of Monzanbia. The author's simple and lucid style renders the story extremely ravishing. The skillful use of suspense in the plot triggers a feeling of excitement and anxiety which makes the story eminently enjoyable.
