Description
Although the names and places mentioned are fictitious, the represent actual persons, places and events which reflect a clear picture of the whole problem of the Nigerian youth. From discriminatory case system to gender issues, from peer group influence to lack of adequate parental care and mentoring, the stories depict a painful outcome of our societal failure. Family and communal responsibilities have descended to the lowest while children now look up to the social media to acquire all sorts of knowledge; some to their detriment. The general decadence observed both in the circular and spiritual life of society has encourage the young people to think that corruption and crime are generally the right way to go. There is therefore a dire need of people like Pa Akobi, Chief Kanka and Mr. Adebeke to reassure the drifting Nigerian youths who are in their millions that things can be well again in Nigeria, and that old and discriminatory practices can be discarded to embrace more progressive and comforting issues in society.
