Homecoming is a grim satire on a people who honour and celebrate plain thieves but vilify their honest and virtuous ones. It is a sad commentary about our society's perverse values and morals and morals. It is ironic too that only a little girl agrees with Iberi's philosophy of right-doing. But it is an irony pregnant with hope.
