This book talks about the consequences of bad parental upbringing of children in this our contemporary society. It also exposes the lackadaisical attitude ans materialistic tendencies of some bad parents in our society. This was portrayed in this book by two major characters called Mr. and Mrs. Obodo. This couples failed woefully in training their children well because of their negligence and materialistic attitude which led to the illicit pregnancy of their daughter called Chichi and later resulted to her death
