The birth of Ebiama is not an exception as it is celebrated, especially because he was born on the same day as the creation of Ebiama. The father who could not contain his joy names his son Ebiama which means "The Gloryland". Life in the rural area was uncomfortable for Ebiama's father, Ebitimi, a great fisherman by occupation. Ebiama gets a scholarship to study in a secondary school in Gbati. Ebiama returns to his hometown, Emideweri, after school, where he works as an assistant on his mother's farm.
