Mugu Hunters is a story of ambitious men whose dreams are fueled by greed and vengeance Emma Eberim moves from his Nigerian to the city and discovers that the tales of nouveau-riche exploits and overbearing behavior he had considered rumor, goddip and fable in his community, are true. He watches as friends flaunt their wealth- wealth gained by conning gullible foreigners on the internet. They call them mugu,: greedy fools. Emma learns quickly, and his snare catches several mugu including Johan an American. With the monies gained Emma acquires properties, investments and political clout. Efforts to contain the mugu hunters fail until Johan's pleadings lead to Morison, an American Intelligence Officer dedicates himself to rooting out the criminals. At the peak of the chase, Emma's wife betrays him and his associates dump him. As Emma pays the price, he wishes he could turn back the hands of the clock.
