It butresses the unpredictability of human behaviour in relation to situations, questions the emotional and psychological dynamics at play in marriage and familiar expectations. The play reveals that at the heart of these contentions especially amongst spouse are economic dependence, jealousy, gender role reversal, fear of domination, psychological torture and outright violence. The playwright proffers a seeming radical solution which is at best accomodationist and convenient; a little to the left, a little to the right not necessarily 'a tooth for a tooth' position. The subject matter of the play is germane and contemporary, readers would find the play engaging as well as entertaining.
