The play, The Virtuousman, is a drama piece that tells the story of Ominyi who was jobless after his successful completion of his university education, amidst high expectation from his families and friends. Several attempts from his friends and well-wishers to allure him into criminal activities prove abortive. He is firm and resolute and at the end he is better and successful than his compatriots. The virtuousman is designs to re-orientat the world-view of our young school leavers and rid the society of vices. It portrays virme as wisdom that is worthy of emulation whereas Vices are seen as decadence and unwholesome practice that deserve contempt and condemnation. Mr Awo's very simple but excellent drama tos of the series of events by which Ominyi through his virtue becomes a model while his end, Chima returns only to be forced into ignominy of suide to escape the results of Herash decision to acquire illicit wealth.
