Description
Ajunwa, a victim of archaic tradition, is abducted and forcefully taken to Ogor, who deflowers her in the open glare. Through the help of God, Ajunwa becomes a rich woman and decides to use her resources to revenge against men. The subsequent clashes evade her body, mind and spirit, but the law of retributive justice and the grace of God work to determine her destiny and that of Ngwelle. I find the subject matter and themes interesting and topical: the subject matters of gender oppression and Christian religion with its varied adjoining themes of superstition, fetish practice, marital inequalities, vengeance, forgiveness, etc.
