This work was commissioned by the United Nations Information Centre in 1997 to commemorate the year's observation of the Day of Refugees. It is a damning indictment of the ruling class both military and civilian- whose policies and actions cause or worse the refugee situation in Africa and other parts of the world. Maren's Family shows the reason there are refugees and asks all shouldering responsibility of leading nations and national groups to act with a human face and a Godly heart.
