The Forties is an attempt to recapture the essence of life and living, in human situation that straddled a struggling widow and her minors in daunting challenges after the sudden demise of their breadwinner, a father and husband at the mid of his life! Chidugam, the only son was only six years when the father died while the eldest, a female was eight leaving the least daughter at about two months or so. Life has never, in most cases be kind somehow! Because, the woman has unwittingly emerged the astute breadwinner, and her resoluteness to raise the children to a pride status braving all odds had immeasurably became heightened. She had always held the children closely with the consciousness of a role model and they at long last never disappointed the society and their mother. It was assured determination at its peak!
