Features abuse of power, marginalization of women, revenge, lack of parental care, domestic violence, hypocrisy, greed, love, bloodletting, sexual abuse, clash of religious beliefs and hatred. It is a narrative which vividly captures few of the vices obtainable in the Nigerian context, especially those that have to do with stigmatization of victims of HIV/AIDS, seeming ignorance of the marginalization, lack of parental care, etcetera, as engendered by characters ' actions in the books.
